Apulia / Cultural events

Numerous cultural events take place in Puglia which, in most cases, take place in spring and summer, seasons of the greatest tourist presence in the area. Many events find their place during village festivals and patronal feasts. They mainly concern Cinema, Theater, Popular Music.
International value have:

• The BIFEST – Bari International Film Festival
• The European Film Festival – Lecce (April)
• The Valle d’Itria Festival – Martina Franca (July-August – duration 3 weeks) – Review of opera music
• Night of the Taranta (August) – Festival of “pizzica” (Salento folk music) and national and international popular music. It takes place in the city of Melpignano (LE)
• The Castel dei Mondi Festival – Castel del Monte (Andria / BAT) – July-August-September – International festival dedicated to theater
